Every year on the weekend before Halloween, the Marina Cafe hosts Halloween By The Sea, the best costume party at the best restaurant on Staten Island.

Since 2015, we have celebrated the holiday in style and challenged our guests to use their imaginations and flaunt their creativity with homemade costumes. The best-dressed winner takes home amazing prizes, including cash. The DJ starts spinning at 9:00 pm and all night long guests dance the night away with friends while drinking our specially crafted, spooky cocktails.

We also offer an amazing prix fixe dinner for only $35 a person. This includes family-style portions of appetizers, like baked little neck clams, Prince Edward’s Island mussels, or homemade mozzarella and tomatoes; and a choice of one delicious entrée, such as Atlantic salmon, medallions of mignon Sicilian, or blackened Mahi Mahi with mango-pineapple salsa over coconut rice. Coffee service, dessert, and gratuity are not included.

Halloween By The Sea has been a success since our first party, and each year is better than the last! Our guests have so much fun dancing the night away and it’s always great to see how much effort goes into making such creative costumes. Below are the highlights of past events:

• In 2015, Halloween By The Sea was held on October 31, and the winning costumes included a Joy’s meatball, which won the grand prize of $1,000.
• In 2016, Halloween By The Sea was held on October 29, and the winning costumes included a newsstand, which won the grand prize of $1,500, and a carnival, which came in second, winning a trip to Mexico.
• In 2017, Halloween By The Sea was held on Saturday, October 28!
• In 2018, Halloween By The Sea was held on Saturday, October 27th
• THIS YEAR, 2019 – Halloween by The Sea will be held on Saturday, October 26th! — this year’s $2,000-grand-prize winner could be you!!

This year’s Halloween by the Sea will feature a Prix Fixe dinner consisting of an appetizer and an entree for $35/per person.

We’ll be offering spooky drink specials all night with a special guest DJ! Festivities start at 9 pm!
